Creative Coding Linz is an informal, regular meetup for coding artists and artsy coders, and everyone interested in technology that fuels your creative process. We discuss tools like VVVV, TouchDesigner, Processing, Cables.gl and whatever crazy new thing is out there. Together, we will settle the argument which piece of software is the one and only superior. Just kidding.
If you want to learn, show, watch, or just have drink and talk shop, stop by!
Our first scheduled talk will be by A/V artist Daniel Haas aka Sturmherta, who will give some insights in his work process and toolchain.
Austrian artist Daniel Haas, born 1992, lives and works in Linz/Austria and studies „timebased and interactive mediaarts“ at university of arts Linz. With roots in the modular-synth-community he created the project „STURMHERTA“. Under this synonym he released several digital EPs and tapes, but mostly he focusses on live-performance.
In STURMHERTAs repertoire we find hybrid-modular livesets, intense, stroboscopic audiovisual performances and immersive sound installations. A recurring element in his works is the strong connection of sound and light, often found as a direct translation of one to the other.
